Late For Work

‘Late For Work’ is the name of the jazz pop project which Ollie has created and is working on currently. With an aim to release an EP at the end of the summer, Ollie is focussing on fine tuning his signature style, and brand image. While it is a solo project, Ollie has involved many of the talented musicians he knows which increases the sense of live music meets electronic, and to utilise their skills as performers.

Late For Work offers a more introspective, heartfelt approach to composing which runs parallel to the dance music Ollie creates. The live show will combine elements of live performance and instrumentation, with sonic manipulation of stems to enhance the blend of styles which he draws on. He is excited to share these songs that come from the heart and represent his eclectic blend of musical inspirations.

SKIDM

SKIDM is a collective formed by artists and producers ‘3scape’ and ‘The Jollie Plugg’. Meeting at music college in 2023, the south-east-London-based duo have been making music and mixing together ever since. Heavily influenced by the UK jungle and dub scenes, both bring unique sonic qualities to their collaborative work, resulting in a synthesis of UK dance music traditions with a 21st-century flair. Now living together, the two consistently create music on individual and collaborative projects alike. Looking forward, SKIDM hope to combine their love of bass music and sound-system culture into a hybrid live performance, featuring live musicians and stem mixing, and face-melting basses, paying homage to British electronic dance music, and the work that preceded it. Fringed World

“I worked with Ollie on 2 songs on this album, he wrote the catchiest riff I have ever heard, and crafted beautiful works of sound design with ease. As a close collaborator with Chugg, I have heard a lot of his unreleased music; he combines a luscious blend of reggae, jungle and hip hop with impeccably crisp mixing with timeless hooks and excellent attention to compositional detail”

Stag Youth Theatre

Ollie has worked at the Stag theatre in Sevenoaks as a composer since the age of 13. Having started as a member of the youth theatre, the leader of the club recognised his interest in music and started employing him to make the music for their various productions. Since then he has created the soundtracks to dozens of plays and short films. This work has culminated in the creation of the feature film, ‘WYRMVALE’, which Ollie is currently scoring the music for. With a premier date set for OCtober, 2026, Ollie is working hard to complete the score and is excited to showcase his debut as a feature film composer. Stay tuned for more details.

‘Ollie is a very versatile musician, he’s produced music for me for over six years over a range of projects ranging from animated work for TUI Resorts and Ocean Cruises, to short film and theatre scores. He’s adapted to any genre I’ve thrown at him, and is able to understand a brief and its target audience to create very professional underscores and accompaniment. Ollie thrives at a challenge and works very quickly to give me a musical framework before a project is complete, allowing precious time for the music to evolve and adapt.’

In relation to the production, “Circle Dreams around the Terrible, Terrible Past’

“Ollie Chugg is a legend of our time - to have scored, designed and cued this work so brilliantly is a really extraordinary feat. This production sounds better and more considered than a lot of professional work, with loads of textures at play, unexpected shifts, sharp clear vocal tracks and surreal unnatural sound blends. Huge congratulations and respect to Ollie!”
